Projektbeschreibung: Klagenfurt is the only Austrian city participating in the EU Net Zero Cities Mission and aims to be climate neutral by 2030. Mobility, as the strongest growing CO2 polluter, takes a special place in the decarbonization strategy of the city of Klagenfurt. The sustainable shift of individual mobility toward climate- and resource-friendly, bundled forms of mobility (climate alliance) is the key to permanently and sustainably influencing mobility behavior and therefore fundamental for a mobility transformation, despite the continued increase in mobility needs. An elementary solution component for reaching this goal is a shift of individual mobility toward public transport. Klagenfurt currently improves the core offer in public transport by increasing the frequency and extension of the route network. Furthermore, a decarbonization of the bus fleet by 2030 is ongoing. However, the use of public transport is characterized by limited operating hours and cannot always be reconciled with all individual circumstances. This is precisely where the Share4U project comes in, by focusing on supplementary multimodal mobility offers that achieve an improvement of the core offer through additional offers such as sharing services, with the goal of creating an overall system that enables mobility without owning a car. At the existing and planned mobility hubs of the city of Klagenfurt, which are already equipped with various sharing services, a supplementary sharing service will be introduced in the course of the project. A station-based e-car sharing system will provide public transport users with more flexibility in their daily lives (e.g. for larger transports or at off-peak times and on weekends) and serves as a feeder to the publicly accessible mobility system. This will be complemented by raising awareness measures for climate-friendly mobility forms among Klagenfurt's population. Hereby, the need for little-used cars, especially second and third cars in families, will be questioned and alternatives highlighted. Due to the continuing high inflation rate, always more people with low incomes can no longer afford to buy a private car. Through the introduction of e-car sharing, the mostly uneconomical ownership of a private car becomes obsolete. Finally, the city, as the central body for mobility coordination, would like to gain a better understanding of the mobility needs and behavior of its citizens. For this purpose, the mobility data of the mobility service providers located in Klagenfurt will be transferred to a digital mobility platform. Potentials and problems in the provision of sharing services in the public space are thus identified at an early stage and enable rapid intervention. The Share4U project promotes a more multimodal and individual mobility behavior by better connecting sharing services with public transport and thus establishing a comprehensive publicly accessible mobility system in the city of Klagenfurt. The goal is to achieve a reduction in emissions through an increased offer and more flexibility in the environmental alliance and, in particular, to reach a reduction of private cars in the city of Klagenfurt. neutral by 2030.
