Projektbeschreibung: | The HERMES-FCV project aims to develop high-performance, durable MEAs for heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs), which account for a large share of CO₂ emissions despite representing only a small portion of the vehicle fleet. By targeting a power density of 2 W/cm² and durability of 25,000–30,000 hours, the project seeks to enhance fuel cell performance, reduce platinum loading (<0.3 mg/cm²), and enable scalable industrial production. Key innovations include catalyst ink development, electrospinning, ultrasonic spray coating, and durability optimization. Partners include TU Graz, AVL, and Duramea. |
